Plan Review for Energy Code Compliance (NM)

Instructor: Joshua Harmon Description: This course will review what details should be provided on the construction plans and what expectations staff should have for projects demonstrating energy code compliance. A building doesn’t just appear – it requires a thorough design, and this course highlights the role of plan review in facilitating compliance with the Energy and construction codes. Course attendees will review sample commercial plans for adequate detail, review components for compliance with the prescriptive and mandatory requirements of the code; and identify how alternative compliance paths can affect the details provided to the building department throughout the construction process.
