DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Jessie Sorensen \nDescription: This course introduces Permit Technicians to the fundamentals of commercial plan review and building inspections from the permit technician’s perspective. Participants will learn how to recognize key components of commercial construction plans and understand what plan reviewers and inspectors evaluate during the permitting and inspection process. The class will provide insight into how commercial projects move through the building department\, highlighting the roles of permit technicians\, plan reviewers\, and inspectors. Real-world examples and inspection photos will be used to demonstrate how items shown on commercial construction plans translate to what inspectors see in the field\, helping permit technicians better understand the full build process.
