2021 IBC Building Areas, Fire Areas, & Mixed Occupancies – Half Day

March 31, 2022 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Description: Comprehensive discussion of the major compartmentalization concepts of the International Building Code (IBC), focusing on those requirements that deal with building size, sprinkler options and mixed-use buildings. Fire-resistance-rated construction is also addressed. This class will include topics on allowable areas, area increases, unlimited area buildings, fire area concept and construction, incidental/accessory use areas and separated/non- separated uses. In addition to providing education credits and providing a class certificate to building and fire code officials, the certificate issued with this class qualifies for Montana Board of Architects licensing CE (6 hours). This course also qualifies as State of Montana Fire Protection Licensing CE (8 hours). Additionally, provider will report AIA credits for course attendees providing AIA numbers on the course sign in sheet.
