Beginning Commercial Building Inspections

Summary: This full day class is designed for residential inspectors that are moving into the area of commercial inspections. The class will briefly discuss the preparation and tools needed to conduct an inspection and the interaction between the inspector and contractor. The majority of the class will focus on the technique and technical aspects of commercial building inspections. Subjects discussed in the class will include foundations, wood framing, light-gauge steel framing, fire-resistive rated construction, means of egress and accessibility.
