Deep Dive into Residential Energy for Lighting, Power, and other Electrical Focused Energy Provision

Summary: This class offers a comprehensive look at the updated power and lighting provisions in the 2024 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) for residential buildings. This edition of the IECC has taken into account that R-2, R-3, and R-4 occupancies that are 3 stories or less that are considered to be residential by the energy code’s standards, but are built to the IBC. These types of projects get to visit both sides of the IECC. Attendees will explore key changes in lighting controls, lighting efficiency, electrical additional efficiency requirements, EV charging, solar ready, and other electrical focused provisions in the IECC.
