Deep Dive into the Residential Additional Efficiency Packages

Summary: The 2021 IECC introduced the concept of additional efficiency options into the IECC, which was to pick one of the options listed and that was all that was required. That is no longer the case. This course provides an in-depth exploration of the 2024 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) residential additional efficiency requirements as defined in Section R408. Participants will explore the additional efficiency requirements found in the 2021 IECC, and compare them to what is found in the 2024 IECC. The 2024 IECC includes credit-based compliance options, performance path alternatives, and technical criteria associated with each efficiency measure.
