Who
The program is a resource for builders, architects, code officials, plans examiners and others looking for education and training to comply with the latest codes. While the program does not proactively advocate for advancing building codes. Xcel Energy will work with any community in our service territory to find the resources that match your needs.

What We’re Delivering
Free training customized for your community’s needs. We understand the need for continual training to build energy compliance. Therefore, we will provide support and training for those who work with the building communities located in our New Mexico service territory.
Technical tools for communities looking to modernize their building code. Recently passed New Mexico Law states that if a community updates its building codes, they must adopt one of the three latest editions of published IECC codes. Many jurisdictions in our territory have not adopted newer energy codes when adopting the other I-codes. This new law will be a significant change, and our resources will help smooth your transition armed with critical information.
