Energy Plan Review for Power & Lighting

Description: This session will highlight the Energy Code requirements for commercial projects meeting the power/lighting allowances and lighting controls that support energy efficiency and occupant safety. While every construction code provision has a purpose, the power and lighting requirements of the Energy Code seek to improve energy efficiency and ensure adequate lighting for building occupants to both work and play in clean and effective environments. Sensors and timers sound like obvious items to identify on construction details; but their location in relation to areas of activity, fenestrations, and lighting fixtures can impact the safety and welfare of building users.
