Low-Energy & Unconditioned Building in the Energy Code

Description: This course explores the unique compliance considerations for low-energy buildings and unconditioned spaces under state-adopted energy efficiency and construction codes. While some structures—such as storage buildings, agricultural facilities, certain low-energy occupancy types, and unconditioned spaces—may qualify for exemptions or reduced requirements, design and enforcement professionals must understand the limits of these exceptions and how they are applied in practice.
