Inspecting for Energy Code Compliance (NM)

Instructor: Joshua Harmon Description: This introductory webinar will expose the attendee to the breadth of considerations and design flexibility that is provided within the Energy Code that ensure new buildings are built safely and with an eye towards the effective use and conservation of energy. This overview will identify the role of inspectors in the building safety process and identify key components and code provisions that are part of Energy Code compliance. The Building Thermal Envelope is not alone in preserving occupant comfort, health, and safety – from mechanical design to proper lighting controls the building works as a whole to support occupants; and the inspector works as part of the building safety team to ensure that these critical systems are properly installed.
