Podium Type Buildings-Issues and Solutions

Summary: Podium type buildings are becoming more popular across the country. They are unique buildings with many different code requirements. This seminar will provide an overview of the specific requirements for these types of buildings and how to apply the building code to the design, construction and inspections. Subjects will include type of construction, building height and area, means of egress, and much more. We will also discuss some of the issues surrounding these buildings and possible solutions to comply with the intent of the code.
